1) Washing

Store water in a container and wash off the mud on the picked Panax ginseng.

 

2) Steaming and boiling

Dry it well inside the boiler for two weeks.

Previously Panax ginseng was dried using coal briquette so workers have to stay overnight.

4) Inspection

Panax ginseng can be classified into one- to six-year-old ginsengs depending on the cultivation year.

Four-year-old ginseng is used to process white ginseng, and six-year-old ginseng for red ginseng.
